Heather Last, B.S., CYT
Yoga & Āyurvedic Wellness Practitioner
My lifelong curiosity about the nature of existence and the wisdom of the body has shaped every step of my journey. From an early love of philosophy, movement, art, and poetry — and a deep connection to Spirit in the natural world — I found my way to Yoga and Āyurveda as a teenager and formal studies in Exercise & Sport Science and Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. More than 25 years later, my path in health and wellness continues to evolve — rooted in study, experience, and a deep devotion to the art of living in harmony.
I fell in love with yoga with my very first Bryan Kest video (on VHS!). For me, yoga has always been a homecoming — a way to remember who I truly am beneath the noise of the world and my own mind. This experience inspired me to do my first teacher yoga training with Tammy Zee in 1999 while attending college. I have since trained with Manju Jois, Simon Park, Tiffany Cruikshank and countless other teachers around the globe.
In 2019 I completed Movement for Trauma Level 1 Training with Jane Clapp and became a Certified VITA™ (vital and integrated Tantric approach) Coach through the VITA™ Institute, founded by Layla Martin, with majors in Women’s Empowerment and Life Transitions. In 2021, I completed the ReBloom Foundations Course with Trauma Resolution Educator, Coach and Guide Rachael Maddox.
In 2022 I completed the 60-hour Integrative Somatic Trauma Certificate Program as well as an Integrative Somatic Parts Work Certificate through The Embody Lab. Most recently, I completed 300 hours of training with The Shakti School, receiving my Āyurvedic Wellness Coaching certificate.
We are each part of the great rhythm of life — the sunrise and the sunset, the ebb and flow of the seasons, the inhale and the exhale. When we move with those rhythms rather than against them, we begin to feel a quiet sense of ease and contentment. My classes and private counseling sessions are designed to support this realignment — blending the ancient teachings of yoga with the timeless intelligence of Āyurveda. Together, we work to restore harmony between body and mind, aligning the inner and outer worlds so that your life begins to move with grace, purpose, and peace.
Whether through mindful movement, breath, or daily ritual, my intention is to create a space where you can soften, listen, and realign with the deeper current of life that is always guiding you home to yourself.
